    Jessica, your post has made me think about your phrase, "The experiences of all people are meaningful and valuable." As teachers we try to have our students write about their experiences and sometimes we mistakenly think that they have not had many experiences. Your post has reminded me that all students have had different experiences and we should always value them because sometimes we do not know or understand what they have been through.
